Grasp the plant at its base to lift the false top off. Set aside as in photos A-1 and A-2. Photo A-3 shows a scoop being conveniently stored out of the way inside the planter base.

Sifted waste can be conveniently discarded in any container of choice. Photo A-4 shows a common plastic grocery bag that can easily be tied and disposed of.

Return scoop to the planter base if desired and replace the false top on the planter as in photo A-1.

If desired, litter can be discarded with each cleaning. In most cases your cat will let you know how clean or dirty it will tolerate it's litter box before it goes somewhere else. if your cat goes somewhere else, it is normally because the litter box is too dirty or it experienced pain while using the box and now associates the pain with the box. A vet is suggested to help your cat and solve your messy problem.

Note: Inner liner pans with handles are sold separately only because of the different nature and characteristics of each individual cat. Some are very tidy and some are more aggressive and make bigger messes. If you have a feline friend that tends to hike and spray higher than 8.5 inches above and over the inner pan, the 17.5 inch high Hid'n Litter without the liner is perfect. At least it is inside the planter and can easily be washed out.

If you have a less aggressive friend that uses the litter and neatly covers it up, "EASIER CLEAN" is better.

Insert the liner pan inside of the clear liner bag as shown in picture B-1. Leave the longest portion of the bag beyond the entrance cut out of the pan as shown.

Pour 3 or more inches of your favorite litter inside the pan. The litter will naturally push the liner bag against the pan walls as shown in photo B-2.

Set the bag covered pan inside of the Hid'n Litter base. Tuck the excess portion of the bag down and in between the pan and the base as shown in picture B-3. Notice the excess long portion of the bag remaining on the outside of the opening in photo B-4. this is the longest portion in step 1. It can be tucked under the planter entrance opening.

Place the planter with the entrance facing a corner wall as in photo B-5. Face it back far enough so that you can tuck the long portion of the liner bag under the planter base entrance as shown in B-6. The Hid'n Litter can then be scooted toward the final position.
